Hi there!

My name is Delaney Rogers, a multimedia journalist based in Michigan! I grew up in Metro Detroit…surrounded by the outdoors, music and people. My upbringing sparked a deep curiosity for the world which evolved into a love for storytelling.

I have always found myself feeling most alive when I am speaking with people, hearing their stories and connecting with them. Growing up, I feel that I naturally saw the world through the lens of a camera - even when I didn’t have one in hand. Whether I was biking to a neighbor’s house or climbing trees, I found myself mentally framing the scene, imagining how I’d capture the moment if I could. My creativity felt untamable - everyday I constructed a new idea or story in my head…which made going into the field of journalism an easy decision.

I attended Michigan State University to study journalism, which equipped me with not only valuable skills but countless confirmations that my heart beats for telling untold stories.

In 2024, I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism with minors in documentary production and broadcasting. I felt my time was not done just yet, and stayed for an additional year for my Master’s of Arts in Journalism

I now work for WLNS-TV 6 news in Lansing as a reporter and am eager to continue my career in journalism! This site serves as a portfolio for my work!
